Meet Dr. Wood
Welcome to my site which I encourage all to explore, use and interact with. I developed this site as an adjunct to my practice which has grown since my appointment. My experience with patients and medical professionals has made me realize the importance of communication and sharing of information. Patients and other health care professionals alike want the best healthcare available and I believe through collaboration, shared information and communication as a team, with the patient at the centre, interactions and outcomes will be more positive. I have a firm belief in the traditional doctor-patient relationship and sound clinical practice and that with the use and adaptation of modern technology that healthcare can be enhanced.

Dr. G.C.A. Wood, is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at The Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton, and has an Academic appointment at McMaster University as Associate Professor. Appointed to his position December 2025,. Priot to this appointment he was Associate Professor at Queens University and Kingston Health Sciences Cenetr, his interests and specialties are in lower limb arthroplasty, reconstruction and young adult hip pathology with an established and growing practice and reputation.
